Bohemian Rhapsody is a brilliant biopic about the glorious and renowned British band, Queen. Mainly focused in the lead singer Freddie Mercury, portrayed by Rami Malek, the motion picture shows the audience the behind-the-scenes of such great fame, the rises and falls through the journey that lead to the famous «Live Aid» concert.
Starting with an open window to the future, we see Freddie waking up on the morning of Live Aid but, like a time machine, we are taken back to the beginning of everything: the night Roger Taylor and Brian May meet a young distinctly misunderstood Freddie. That night changed all of their lives as Mercury arrives after Roger’s and Brian’s band Smile loses their vocalist. After a quick audition, the difficult path to Rock legends commences. Going through hard decisions for the band and its future, drug addiction, a messy love life, questioning his sexuality and dealing with AIDS, Freddie had a life more than worthy of a documentary. We feel rewarded and excited as we watch the Live Aid portion of the film knowing it was one of the last concerts he gave, and for sure the most unforgettable one.
